My Top 5 Songs

Late this month.  It's OK, no change to the charts anyway.  This will probably not be the story for April.  I just love charting music. The late winter drags on.  I am enjoying music I find, but it has been a long while since I had seen any live music.  I just don't have passion to do so.  I do not want to be one of those people there who simply stand, wait for a song to complete, then applaud.  To me, it's personal - I need to enjoy it, to feel it.  Not that I would be in a trance or hypnotized, but still.   So if I am not really WANTING in the first place to see live music, I probably see no reason to venture out to do so. Anyway, I am missing a lot since I see from Facebook feeds that there are local bands out there, some I actually know of, entertaining the masses.  I just hate going alone and knowing no one.  That's awkward.  I really need to be IN a band.  It's possible I am definitely one of those weird, ...

Well, this month, I am on time, for once.  (warning - there may be objectionable language below)... Christmas just sucks. I can't stand a sibling of mine, who just wrecks the joy with his pompous attitude. We are middle aged, mind you - but he has been this way his whole life. Can you imagine being yelled at by someone who is irritated at something you said, that they do not agree with? If this were the way he was, fine...but it's NOT - he is just like that to his family, but probably very nice to everyone else.  I guess he is really a total pussy. What - is this guy in elementary school?  Because that is what he sounds like - and everyone let's him get away with it.  It's basically bullying - and it's disarming, and embarrassing.  I want to tell him to fuck off, and that he is a ridiculous asshole who acts this way because he feels we are all weaker than he, but can't be this way towards others.   I really hate people like this - I mean, you know so...

Very late this month!  I just spend too much time on computers at work, and then for schoolwork in the evening.  So often, I postpone updating this blog. I hate my job. I really do.  It is such a disappointment.  My skills are not maximized there - actually, they are hardly used there.  What I do, anyone with clerical support can do, for the most part.  My technical background is rarely drawn from for daily responsibilities.   I should not complain.  My job would be a DREAM for most others.  The point is that I have so much time - YEARS - invested in advancing my education, my overall knowledge, and it's not something I can put into practice. C'est le vie. Hope I got that right. Ten years ago, the Foo Fighters song debuted at #1, stayed there for 3 months, and remained in the Top Five for a total of TWELVE months.  Wow.  I do not like that band, except for that song and a few others.  Oh, did I just offend someone? ...

Whew!  Summer class over...got an A.  This wasn't a total chore - it was a pretty easy class. Two more...then I am done with graduate school...just nine more months or so.  Question is, what to do AFTER that?   Advance my career?  I just don't want to work more hours doing what I do, and instead want to focus on... ...have you been paying attention to my blog?   Yes, that is correct!  Music, acting, stuff like that.  And weightlifting and staying in shape, too. I'm actually in a good mood.  I feel good, but as usual, I'm sullen...with no relationships, nowhere to fit in, nothing....So as long as the weather  is nice and I can get out and walk and ride the bike, I'm good.  Otherwise, I suck. Chalk up another #1 for Mastodon.  They now have two.  Some day I will have to research what bands have the most #1s, most Top 5 songs, etc.  No doubt Godsmack will dominate most of those categories. The summer cometh to a close.  It was, well, interesting. I hope to break away for a week in September for vacation. It turns out I have a part in an independent movie (nothing groundbreaking - a 10-minute film) that will require travel a few hours away.  So it's not a 'true' vacation, but still, I will rent a car for the week and I'm guessing will be able to see places in the evening, if/when shooting is done for the day. Things are going OK upstairs in my head. I feel good - I am being very proactive in advancing my guitar skills. The thing is continuing for MONTHS AND MONTHS to really get some impressive aptitude - impressive for MY standards!  I will never be great at guitar.  But I want to create songs, SAY something in them, and write and play music some people will love. Chocolate + peanut butter is just the most evil concoction - can anyone eat ONE Reese's Peanut Butter cup? They are amazingly delicious! That is all.... Music....I am really digging ...
