OCTOBER 2015
Very late this month! I just spend too much time on computers at work, and then for schoolwork in the evening. So often, I postpone updating this blog.
I hate my job. I really do. It is such a disappointment. My skills are not maximized there - actually, they are hardly used there. What I do, anyone with clerical support can do, for the most part. My technical background is rarely drawn from for daily responsibilities.
I should not complain. My job would be a DREAM for most others. The point is that I have so much time - YEARS - invested in advancing my education, my overall knowledge, and it's not something I can put into practice.
C'est le vie. Hope I got that right.
Ten years ago, the Foo Fighters song debuted at #1, stayed there for 3 months, and remained in the Top Five for a total of TWELVE months. Wow. I do not like that band, except for that song and a few others. Oh, did I just offend someone? People, it's OK to say you do not like the same art others do. I hate Lady Gaga's music....she's a very cool woman - I've seen her on Saturday Night Live, and heard her interview on the Howard Stern Show. She is a survivor. She feels free to express herself, without feeling ostracized - without having to look a certain way, sing a certain way, whatever.
But I like maybe one song of hers that I heard. Just my opinion....
Anyway, I don't like the Foos, but "Best of You" and "Everlong" are two of my favorite songs from the first decade of the 2000s.
This month, the cute dance song by Borgeous hit #1. It's a tough call - I have so many songs currently that I enjoy! Some may not make the Top 5, and I will unfortunately forget those in due time for enjoyment years down the road.
The sad, beautiful song by Kaley Victoria Rose slips to #2. It's playing right now on my computer. Too bad it won't be heard by more people. She needs an opportunity to have that on a television show, or in a movie, so that it will reach more people.
Not much change on the chart this month. Chevelle sneaks up to #3, and Mastodon still has two spots out of five.
Well, I love October and November. Football season...cool weather...Halloween...it's all good. I just wish I didn't always feel so alone, frustrated, overworked.....
I can't wait until graduate school is over in 2016...I will start in earnest to put time into music. I suck at it, and can barely play guitar, but I will improve, I hope.
