AUGUST 2016

Before you blink, the summer will have passed by.  And it's been pretty good. I made time to get away for a few days, have been bike riding, planning ahead for acting, and so on. Life has been OK lately.  I am stressed from chronic neck pain and stiffness, and the headaches that result from my trying to work out the stiffness.  I will get that checked in due time. In the meantime, here is my Top 5 for August.  The song from 36 Crazyfists had been on my list of current songs for quite a while.  The competition from hard rock/metal songs has been tough the last year or more, because of Mastodon in large part.  Anyway, welcome, 36 Crazyfists, to a song tracking blog that has zero readers!  They have been around since 1994 - I only heard of them from this song, "Also Am I".   Great song.....I'm listening to them now via youtube, a song called "Slit Wrist Theory", which is pretty damn good, too! That is all - I actually have an audition for what...

JULY 2015

I kept putting this off...it's another thing on the schedule.  MORE time at the computer.  I need a break - I need frivolty: watching movies, driving around for the helluvit, getting a pizza at midnight.... I am just so busy, as usual. A cousin got married recently.  It was nice to see family from other states and provinces, for the first time in years.  I always feel dull, and that no one really wants to talk to me that much. Little do they know how interesting I am - I just am not the conventional citizen as they are.  They are mostly all nice people, but just...typical.  I just do not feel I am typical.  My dreams are for music and acting....honestly, they are. Here is this month's Top 5.  Mastodon just kicks ass, what more can be said.  There is weakness among the big hits, though, now that I can devote more time to my saved playlist of current favorites. I missed Jane's Addiction, by the way.  I was not feeling well, and ...

NOVEMBER 2014

Happy November.  As usual, I am up and down with my mood and attitude. I welcome death. I am loving life. I want to be happy. Leave me the f* alone because I want to be alone...permanently. It's this way. It will always be this way. I want to cry - I am crazy, yet not crazy. Maybe I have some form of adult autism, the way Jerry Seinfeld recently described himself in an interview I saw on NBC news. The song by Monica Richards finally broke through, after being on my playlist for so long.  It's had stiff competition.  It's an amazing song. It sort of reminds me of Peter Murphy's later 80s song "Cuts You Up".  So beautiful, but so sad.  It almost makes me cry - no, I'm actually slightly crying now. So much angst and anxiety. Anyway, I suppose this will be the last I ever hear of Monica Richards. It's just one of those things.  Great song, though - absolutely beautiful. Huh, I barely even remember "Last Train Home" by Lost Proph...

FEBRUARY 2013

I love the winter.  I can't stand people that complain about it, though.  There are people out there collecting garbage, working in construction, putting out fires....all in the elements, be it cats and dogs or raining frogs. Yet people on the bus going to their cushy office job complain how cold it is.  Um, moron, try layers, a hat, and a nice toasty pair of long underwear and you'll see how easy it is....people are just lazy and stupid and whiny. I guess I'm whining now (ha!) but I'm just sick of 'soft' people who can't take care of themselves. Everything is difficult, the government is there to give you stuff, wah wah wah....here's a tissue. Surprisingly, my self-loathing is substituted by a sense of misanthropy that I admit I enjoy.  If I can only get over THAT, and not be so judgmental and more forgiving, I think I will have reached some level of enlightenment where I can be happier and more focused. But until then, put down your effing cell...
