Well, another repeat:  late post this month...school was murder in the final weeks of the term...but got an A anyway, although I feel like I did not learn really THAT much as I should for fucking graduate school....sheesh.....feeling up and down - depressed, then happy, then depressed. What is the point of this stupid blog?!?!??!  What is the point of even going on, I am beginning to wonder.  I am truly alone and no one cares if a white guy over 35 lives, dies, or what he things about anything. Here is my Top 5 for this month.  Not a lot of movement, as my life has not centered that much on music lately.  I have a month until the next, and final semester starts - I am hoping to brush up on my deteriorated music skills, as well as get in some exercise, and other pursuits. Very late this month!  I just spend too much time on computers at work, and then for schoolwork in the evening.  So often, I postpone updating this blog. I hate my job. I really do.  It is such a disappointment.  My skills are not maximized there - actually, they are hardly used there.  What I do, anyone with clerical support can do, for the most part.  My technical background is rarely drawn from for daily responsibilities.   I should not complain.  My job would be a DREAM for most others.  The point is that I have so much time - YEARS - invested in advancing my education, my overall knowledge, and it's not something I can put into practice. C'est le vie. Hope I got that right. Ten years ago, the Foo Fighters song debuted at #1, stayed there for 3 months, and remained in the Top Five for a total of TWELVE months.  Wow.  I do not like that band, except for that song and a few others.  Oh, did I just offend someone? ...

Whew!  Summer class over...got an A.  This wasn't a total chore - it was a pretty easy class. Two more...then I am done with graduate school...just nine more months or so.  Question is, what to do AFTER that?   Advance my career?  I just don't want to work more hours doing what I do, and instead want to focus on... ...have you been paying attention to my blog?   Yes, that is correct!  Music, acting, stuff like that.  And weightlifting and staying in shape, too. I'm actually in a good mood.  I feel good, but as usual, I'm sullen...with no relationships, nowhere to fit in, nothing....So as long as the weather  is nice and I can get out and walk and ride the bike, I'm good.  Otherwise, I suck. Chalk up another #1 for Mastodon.  They now have two.  Some day I will have to research what bands have the most #1s, most Top 5 songs, etc.  No doubt Godsmack will dominate most of those categories. Wow - my first real cold in many, many years.  It's a pain - having so much homework, and WORK work, to do, and feeling unfocused, hungover (from the vapo-rub, and decongestants)...at least I don't have a raw, burning, sore throat. Hopefully this will go away in no time. It's been busy, mostly with school. My acting is fading - I went on a few auditions for plays and each time, did not give a great audition, exactly.  I have nothing lined up for acting, too. That's all I have to say, really. I've improved with time management and got a good hold on my workload for school.  But - with all the older people at work retiring, I may get crushed with responsibility there. Very hate this month...next week another installment of the Top 5 Songs will be due!  Its OK, its fun for a couple reasons - I am REALLY, REALLY enjoying "The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here". As you can see, AIC has TWO songs now and they may go 3 for 5 by this time next week! It's a very enjoyable album.  Like I mentioned before, upon first listen, I was not moved in any way, shape or form! This year is going along OK.  My mental healing continues. I have a bout of depression now and then, and they have gotten a bit worse, but I attribute it to stress, and the winter.  I have been very busy with school (this current class sucks), and pursing acting opportunities.  Since January, I have auditioned for at least 4 things, which includes some theater companies. And...so far I'm shut out. It's frustrating. I'm a decent actor, but I think its my 'look', first and foremost. I don't really have a 'look', so people don't know what to do with me...

It's so weird - you could never possibly know when someone or something new and exciting will walk into your life. When that happens, things change instantaneously - your mood, your taste in music, the way you take on the day. I'm happy, strangely enough. ha. Well, Godsmack hits #1! Alice in Chains took a beating, with one song dropping out, and the other being knocked from #1 after only a week there. "Crying Like a Bitch" was just too strong this past month. And in August, Godsmack's latest album (which is very, very good, I might add), may have one or two other songs making the almightly Top 5. Chevelle, again, gives a great song. It took a while to break in, since I was so consumed with AIC the last few months. And "Odd One" is a great song I hum to myself at work when I'm ready to kill a particular individual there who is a pain in the butt: "....it's gonna be OK...!" Has it been a YEAR since that great Silversun Pickups CD rocked...
