My Top 5 Songs

I am really enjoying the summer thus far!  I love riding the bicycle, sometimes going 30 miles or more on a ride, or tackling some big hills here in the city. I got an A in the winter class, and started the condensed, fast moving summer class. It shouldn't be too much of a problem.   Just this one and two more....! But I know really I am empty inside. I have no friends, no significant other.  It's hopeless. I haven't changed much over the last 20 years. The same things that bothered me then bother me now. Of course there are differences - and changes for the better, I would like to think.  But I still have the same faults, make the same mistakes when it comes to people, and still have the same anxieties about socializing and being the center of attention. Very late this month.  The chart movements are true to where they would be had the chart been completed at the beginning of this month. School ended - it was a difficult semester. There were A LOT of hours spent trying to complete assignments, tests, and projects.  At the end of it all, I did not complete the final four homeworks - I just was so far behind that I could not get to those chapters.  The final test was BASED ON THOSE CHAPTERS, though - so I was working on the exam as I was seeing the material for the first time. I thought I did very well on the exam.   But...through some misunderstanding that will hopefully be cleared up, the test was not counted (in effect, a ZERO), which killed my grade and gave me a D! This is wrong - I hope to set straight this situation, which is too complex to explain here. Needless to say, I have been under stress waiting for the instructor to get his mind off vacation mode and act on correcting what he thinks is a late exam...

Well, the charts have been a bit constipated lately. Since early September, I was very busy cramming for exams and so on. I just hadn't enjoyed music the last few months. That is probably the first time since my pre-teen years I didn't look for, embrace, or otherwise enjoy new music over such a length of time. Well, it seems the proverbial laxative is taking effect - fresh songs rear their heads. There is a lot of good music out there, true dat. It's all subjective, though - it's what's in your heart, your head, your state of mind, your place in the world. All of this usually (but not always) determines how someone perceives the arts.
